This system will power most homes all year round and reduce their future power-bill by about 80%. It will also give you power in a power-cut. The cost for this comprehensive system is usually around $36,000 (incl GST) for an average home.*
2

Standard solar system installation

Our 12-panel solar solution will generate more electricity for your home. This is a 4.6kW array paired with a 5kW Inverter. The cost for this system would be approximately : $13,000 (incl GST) for an average home.*
3

Entry level solar system that can be added to in the future

If you want to add Batteries later, then we recommend opting for 18x panels now (7kW)
Approximate cost is $17,000 (incl. GST)

*Pricing includes installation and GST, however, please note these costs are an indication only – we’ll need to view your house plans to confirm our recommendations and costs.

Inclusions

All of our solar systems designed for new homes come with a comprehensive monitoring tool, allowing you to view production, consumption, import, and export in real-time. As you settle into your new home, this feature is invaluable in helping you adjust your energy habits and enhance your savings. Moreover, the data provided by this monitoring tool empowers you to make informed decisions about adding more panels or batteries to your solar system in the future. Embrace the benefits of solar for new homes and embark on a sustainable lifestyle from the moment you move in.

We also include a hot water timer in our pricing above to ensure your hot water cylinder is going to be powered during day-light hours.

Other factors to consider when building:

If you’re keen to install solar, we recommend that you avoid gas and install electric as much as possible. This is because solar cannot help any gas-powered appliance and we want you to have as few overheads as possible.

We highly recommend opting for our hot water heat pump as your main hot water heater. This system is 3-4 x more efficient at heating your hot water compared to a normal hot water cylinder. Read more about it here:

Do you have an Electric Vehicle (EV) or considering getting one in the future? If so, it may pay to install an EV Charger so you can charge your car more quickly compared to a normal three point plug. Read more about it here:

The new build process

We recognize that building a new home involves numerous considerations and moving parts, and incorporating solar for new homes can seem daunting. To simplify the process for you, we suggest using the above pricing as a preliminary guideline for your budgeting needs. Once your plans are finalized and you're in the consent process, reach out to us for exact pricing and the latest information tailored to your home. We'll ask a series of questions to ensure you receive the optimal solar system for your unique situation, making the integration of solar for new homes a seamless and stress-free experience.

We will install the panels once the roof is on and the walls are open and then we will install the inverter once the area where the inverter is going is painted. Lastly, we may need to come back to connect the system to your wifi once your wifi is all up and running.
