As an award-winning, family-owned business with nearly a decade of experience, we’ve grown to a team of 10, including our own in-house electricians. Along the way, we’ve completed over 1500x installations, earned hundreds of 5-star reviews, and proudly donated more than $46,000 to local charities and community initiatives.

Our Story
Ecoefficient was founded in 2016 by Laura with a clear mission: to make solar simple, deliver every installation to a highest standard and ensure customers are cared for long after the job is done. She wanted Kiwis to enjoy the benefits of solar power with the backing of a company that genuinely cares.
What began as small contracted teams, quickly grew into a big vision, as more families and businesses embraced renewable solutions. By 2020, Laura’s husband Shaun joined full time, and together they built Ecoefficient into an award-winning & reputable solar company.
Today, we have a team of 10 staff, including our own in-house electricians. We have completed over 1500x solar installations across the country ranging from very small solar systems to some of the largest in our operating areas.
Honesty and transparency remain at the heart of everything we do, reflected in our glowing Google reviews. We’re also very proud to have donated over $46,000 to local charities and supported many community initiatives like our annual Christmas gift-giving we do for families in need.
